Pulling from the past, and doing so very well, John Galliano showed a collection for Christian Dior Couture Fall 2009 built upon influences spanning from the ’50s to that weird Madonna lace, tons of jewellery, no one’s quite sure what’s going on era. Many of the models were half dressed in girdles, petticoats and bright coloured cloth shaped into timeless silhouettes.
Nothing extraordinary here for Dior, but entertaining all the same. The shoes were amazing, but all the trees in the background really aggravate me. Perhaps it takes the focus away from the clothes.
