Betsey Johnson has announced that she will be retiring after her September show. Eric Sartori, who designed for Vera Wang has been named as her successor. She claims that Sartori “… is better than I am. He just needs to Betsey-fy himself.”
Johnson vows to remain in the fashion world as a “mega-consultant” who is still involved in her line, tweaking and modifying as she sees fit, kind of “like Ralph [Lauren]”.
